Bubblegum Crisis 2032
Summary
The year is 2032, seven years after the Second Great Kanto Earthquake decimated Tokyo. Now, the city is reborn as MegaTokyo, built from the labors of mechanical beasts known as "Boomers." Originally created to benefit humanity, the mysterious corporation known as Genom now produces Boomers with incredible destructive power as a new type of advanced weaponry, capable of disguising themselves as humans. The AD Police is a new special unit to counter the ever-increasing Boomer-related crimes. Overwhelmed by the sheer amount of crimes and disparity in strength, the AD Police poses little opposition to the Boomers. A mysterious vigilante force known as the Knight Sabers, wearing powersuits more advanced than the military, is the citizens’ only hope for protection. Led by Sylia Stingray, Priscilla “Priss” Asagiri, Nene Romanova, and Linna Yamazaki, these beautiful girls take out any Boomer that steps out of line.

AD.POLICE 終焉都市
Summary
The AD Police are an elite group of highly trained and specially equipped police officers who have been formed to deal with terrorist activities and Boomer robot crimes in the city of Megatokyo. They are more heavily armed and equipped (including power armors like the K-11 and K-12) for a normal police force, but too lightly for a military organization. The AD Police are offered a great deal of leeway in their activities, often blockading large sections of the city and causing great amounts of property damage in the course of fulfilling their duty. Despite their dedication to their jobs, however, the citizens of Megatokyo tend to dislike and distrust members of the AD Police, seeing them as corrupt and ineffectual.
Background
AD. Police: Shuuen Toshi was published in English as Ad Police by VIZ Media on May 22, 1995.

Background
Initially planned for more episodes, production ceased after episode 3, due to the falling out between Artmic and Youmex. Following the bankruptcy of Artmic, Anime International Company (AIC) and Youmex took on the company's debts, which in turn, AIC would gain most of the IPs and other associated copyrights held by Artmic. Since December 2015, the AD Police IP, along with some of the other IPs held by AIC, have since been transferred to AIC RIGHTS. In North America, the series is licensed by AnimEigo, who first released the series in 1993, on VHS and Laserdisc in Japanese with English subtitles. In September 2015, AnimEigo launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, to rerelease the series remastered on Blu-Ray, with a planned release date of sometime in 2016.
