Summary

Dr. Stone won the 64th Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shounen category in 2019. The manga ranked 17th in the 2020 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Male Readers division. As a part of the JUMP START initiative, the first three chapters of the manga were published in English in VIZ Media's digital Weekly Shonen Jump on the same day as the Japanese release. After, the series was added to VIZ Media's Weekly Shonen Jump lineup, and it was also simulpub through MANGA Plus. The volumes were published in English by VIZ Media under the Shonen Jump imprint from September 4, 2018, to June 3, 2025. It has also been released in Brazilian Portuguese by Panini Comics since September 2018.

Summary
After five years of harboring unspoken feelings, high-schooler Taiju Ooki is finally ready to confess his love to Yuzuriha Ogawa. Just when Taiju begins his confession however, a blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world—turning every single human into stone.Several millennia later, Taiju awakens to find the modern world completely nonexistent, as nature has flourished in the years humanity stood still. Among a stone world of statues, Taiju encounters one other living human: his science-loving friend Senkuu, who has been active for a few months.
