Background
In Kadokawa Shoten's first Light Novel Award contest held in 2007, Toradora! won an award in the romantic-comedy category. The series was published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment under the Airship imprint from May 8, 2018, to August 4, 2020. It was also released in Polish by Studio JG as 2-in-1 omnibus volumes from August 25, 2016, to July 20, 2020; and in Brazilian Portuguese by NewPOP Editora from July 6, 2018, to May 13, 2021.

Volume 2: Tora, Futoyuru Aki (Fall Fattened Tiger) Five more stories from the world of Toradora! The first relates how Taiga got a bit overweight on all the wonderful foods of fall-time, and her adventures in losing that weight. The second recounts how it was that Haruta showed up at the candy-store with an older girlfriend, shocking both Taiga and Ryuuji. The other stories focus on other characters.
Volume 3: Ore no Bentou wo Mitekure (Take a Look at My Lunch Box) Ten more shorter stories, each focusing on one or another of the Toradora characters.

Summary
Takasu Ryuuji has learned the hard way that appearances can be deceiving. For despite his inwardly sweet personality, his unintentionally sharp gaze and aggressive features give him the air of a delinquent thug, putting his chances at making new friends, let alone a girlfriend, next to zero.It’s Ryuuji’s first day of his second year of high school and it seems as if things are looking up. Summary
Ryuuji Takasu is a gentle high school student with a love for housework; but in contrast to his kind nature, he has an intimidating face that often gets him labeled as a delinquent. Background
Toradora! was selected as a recommended work by the awards jury of the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2009. The light novel was also adapted into a video game for PlayStation Portable, released only in Japan and published by Namco Bandai Games in 2009.

Summary
An unaired episode included in the Blu-ray box set.Yuusaku brings an extravagant bento box to share with the class, which makes Ryuuji feel inferior about his own bento making skills. Desperate to beat his bentos, Ryuuji obsessively tries to compete against them to the point where he even brings a rice cooker to school. After Taiga brings him some salty onigiri, Ryuuji realises that the true meaning of bentos is not the taste, but the feelings that are put into it.
